Job Specifications

Photographs and Illustrations - Whether in colour or black and white, these need to be saved in CMYK. If the placed images are at same size then they can be saved at 300dpi. However, if the images are at half size, then they need to be saved at 600dpi, and proportionally for other size enlargements.

Fonts - Please include fonts with job folder or save with text as outlines or paths. When sending composite eps or pdf files, please include fonts.

Hard Copy - Please send a hard copy of your job to enable us to check for textual re-flow.

tif, eps, pdf or jpeg Formats – If you are sending in your job as an eps or pdf file, please include the native file as well. Jpegs should be at the maximum possible resolution.

Rasterised Files - Black text on rasterised files will be interpreted as full colour CMYK and will produce a poorer quality print than a vectorised file. Please give us a call if you would like to discuss this difference in further detail.

Reversed Colours - White or coloured text out of solid blocks of colour may fill in. In order to achieve your desired result, text needs to be slightly bolder than required in order to print correctly. Equally, this applies to all forms of line work.

Spot Colours - Regardless of programme all spot colours should be converted to process (CMYK).

Publisher Files - Please supply as both a Jpeg and the native Publisher file. Please also supply all fonts even if they appear to be commonly used.

Our prices for ‘artwork supplied on disc’ assume that we process each file once. If artwork does not comply, or, if changes are subsequently made to the content, we incur additional processing costs and reserve the right to charge accordingly.
